NEWS

Unilin Technologies introduces its patented Pressed Bevel Technology for resilient flooring to its continuously growing licensing base. With this technology, the edges of a resilient flooring panel are pressed downwards into a bevel, making sure the decor layer and texture of the board continue until the deepest point of the bevel. This unique technology, on which Unilin Technologies already started filing patents more than 10 years ago,  enhances the appearance of resilient flooring to be even closer to real wood than ever before.

Unilin’s IP division cooperates with Tacon Decor in next generation “wrapping material” for decorative applications

15/07/2021

Unilin Technologies, a provider of patents and technologies to manufacturing industries, announces that it has entered into a partnership with Tacon Decor, specialized in coating and laminate options for decorative surfaces.

Tacon Decor and Unilin Technologies have developed a special wrapping material of laminate quality, to be used as a finishing surface for skirting boards and other decorative profiles. This next generation wrapping material can be applied more easily and smoothly, at higher speed during the wrapping process while still providing the required impact resistance. It can be wrapped around corners with minimal radii. Less decor paper waste is created in the production of the wrapping material, making it a more ecological choice.

As co-developer, Tacon Decor promotes and sells this wrapping material to its current client base.

"Our valuable joint effort in the development and implementation of these new technologies, in combination with our extensive expertise in intellectual property management and our world-wide IP licensing network will certainly be very beneficial to both companies. We are delighted to add this technology into our patent portfolio and are looking forward to license this out worldwide." says Unilin Technologies' Business Development Manger, Jasmine Geerinckx.
