Matching stair covers, baseboards, and profiles to a floor is often complex, time-consuming and expensive. When a new flooring design or color is introduced, traditional accessory production typically relies on a costly and extensive color-matching process – which still doesn’t fully match the original floor.
With these patented, and market-proven technologies, accessories can be produced directly from the original flooring plank. As a result, all accessories share the exact design, texture and wear layer of the floor, creating a perfectly coordinated look across every element of the installation.
This technology is the first to offer stairnoses for all types of flooring – including laminate - in both a modern square-edge and more traditional roundnose, along with clickable baseboards, and 4-in-1 profiles.

Unilin’s commitment to designing locking systems prioritizes the secure connection between flooring panels while simultaneously ensuring an effortless installation process, both for professional installers and DIY market.
In order to identify boxes of flooring that are given patent protection under the license of Unilin Technologies, the “License to Click” or “L2C Label Program” was introduced. A box of flooring products that is correctly labelled can be considered as licensed. If not correctly labelled, the flooring products are considered to be unlicensed, even if they are made by a licensee.
On March 3, 2026, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled decisively in favor of Unilin in its case against Vilox and one of Vilox’s licensees.
